There’s A Battle Going On In The NFC

Posted by | December 2, 2018 .

Christmas is still several weeks away, but the New Orleans Saints handed an early gift to the Los Angeles Rams on Thursday when the Dallas Cowboys beat the New Orleans Saints in an upset. It was a win very few people saw coming, opening the door for the Rams to take over the No. 1 seed.

Now with a half-game lead on Saints, the Rams simply have to win out to earn home-field advantage in the playoffs.

However, the Rams only face one team above .500 the rest of the way, and that is the Seattle Seahawks sitting in second place of the NFC West.

New Orleans still has a semi-tough road ahead with two teams above .500.
In an NFC South showdown, the Saints play the Carolina Panthers twice in the final 3 weeks of the season, who are 4 games behind the Saints, sitting in 2nd place of the NFC South at 6-5, and a matchup with the Pittsburgh Steelers, sitting in first place of the AFC North at 7-3-1.

The Saints are hoping for the Rams to lose to stay on top for the no.1 seed, who as of now owns the tie breaker over the Rams, after stopping there 8 game winning streak.

It’s a tough battle these next 5 weeks for both the Saints and Rams to conquer home field advantage throughout the playoffs, as both teams try to make their way to Atlanta, Georgia for SuperBowl LIII at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
